HAY • Rural Laborers on the Road
Two workers first spread the hay over the country road. This way the passing cars and motorbikes will thresh, crunch it. It also dries faster on the hot pavement. One laborer uses a kind of bent pick on the end of a stick to fling the hay into clumps. The other laborer gathers it up by hand and loads it onto the truck bed. The overseer stands in the truck bed.
