Trekking to MARDI HIMAL • A Hike to Base Camp

There are hardly any other hikers and only bare-bones facilities on the way up to Mardi Himal (5,587 m). Its a wild ride through various climate zones – all in a few days hike – from steep valleys with paddy to heavily wooded bamboo and rhododendron forests. The mountain views from the base camp are superb: Annapurna South, Mount Machhapuchhre (also known as Fishtail) and Mount Hiunchuli.
